Crunchy Chocolita S'mores Bars (V+GF)

Crunchy, chewy, soft, and toasty these S'mores bars taste incredible with Chocolita herbal chocolate. Level up by bringing these to your next campout or have fun making these in the kitchen to enjoy with friends, family or just for yourself.

 

 

I've made this recipe several times already and it is a huge hit every-time, hope you enjoy it too!  Let's dig in to the recipe.

 

With only 7 ingredients these are also super easy to throw together for whatever the occasion.

 

 

 

Ingredients 

 

  • Vegan Marshmallows (Dandy mini's work best for this recipe)
  • 3/4 Cup Gluten Free Oats
  • 4 bars of Chocolita Chocolate (Dark, Strawberry or Moontime Rose)
  • 2 1/3 Cups of Almond Flour (Or flour of choice)
  • 1 Tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1 Can of Coconut Condensed Milk (11.25 oz can)
  • Pinch of Salt

 

 

 

NOTE: Some substitutions for other toppings if you do not have Vegan Marshmallows are: Chopped pecans or walnuts, freeze-dried raspberries or other fruit, shredded dried coconut, sliced bananas vegan mnm’s. Be Creative! Use what you have.

 

 

What you want to use to make recipe:

 

A baking pan and parchment paper I am using a 9 by 9inch square pan. If you don't have a pan that's square, a round cake pan will do, but it may affect the final bake time.

 

 

 

 

 

Method

 

 

1.) Pre-heat your oven to 350..

 

2.) In a large mixing bowl add almond flour, baking soda, oats, salt, and coconut condensed milk, stir to combine.

 

3.) Transfer to a baking pan lined with parchment paper and spread 1/4 inch thick or until flat and bottom is entirely covered.

 

4.) Bake at 350 for 10-15 mins until sides appear slightly golden brown.

 

Note: Each oven is slightly different and this can account for slight variations in bake time.

 

5.) Remove the pan from the oven onto a hot pad and add chocolate and let it melt and spread evenly to the sides.

 

6.) Add marshmallow topping to your desire.

 

7.) To brown the marshmallows, set the oven to broil and turn oven light on, rotate the pan every min or so for 4 mins until the marshmallows start to brown, do not walk away from the oven. This step can be tricky the marshmallows will easily burn if you do not monitor.

 

8.) Once topping is brown remove pan from oven let cool for up to 15 mins before slicing and enjoying.
